Soft, Summer-Ready Feet

Sandal season is finally (almost!) here and so are exposing your bare feet. Making sure your feet are smooth is essential for this season.

Having dry, cracked heels is definitely not what you want, and perhaps trying to get rid of it has proven itself too difficult.

I have tried foot creams and scrubs, but I found that my favorite way of getting rid of dead skin requires only one thing more to add to my usual routin - a loofah glove. Not a shower puff, because that's too soft of a scrubber if that makes any sense.

You can probably find loofah gloves at any drugstore or even Wal-Mart. You don't have to buy an expensive one, any loofah glove will do.

I guarantee that if you follow my instructions, you will have smoother and softer feet from the first day you use this method.

This method is the most effective if it comes last in your shower/bath routine. The dead skin has then softened from being soaked in water. We will work with one foot at a time.

Step 1: Slather on some of your body wash/scrub on your foot.
Step 2: Use the loofah glove to scrub your ankles, the top of your foot, between your toes, your cuticles, the ball of your foot, and especially your heel. Spend more time around the contour of your heel as this is where the driest/cracked part of the foot usually is. ***Remember to apply pressure when you scrub to get rid of as much dead skin as possible!
Step 3: Rinse your foot thoroughly, taking care to rid your foot of any soaps left to prevent smelly feet once they dry. Then you repeat on the other foot.
Step 4: Once you're out of the shower, dry your feet with a towel and apply moisturizing lotion to keep the moisture.

I guarantee your feet will be soft for days. You can do this foot scrub as often as twice a week.

Let me know if it worked for you!
