Pink Tips - Dip Dyeing

If you've been 'dyeing' to try this trend and haven't had the chance to, fear not--dip-dyeing has yet to see the light at the end of the tunnel. In fact, the look has been spotted on Dakota Fanning just recently--

The trend was started last summer by Lauren Conrad as seen on her beauty blog, the beauty department.

Love the rainbow variation on Lauren Conrad!

A cool teal version as seen on Kate Bosworth.

Of course, I had to try it myself --

When I get my hair done on Saturday to the grey Kelly Osbourne shade, I'll still be able to dip-dye my hair which is a big YAY! The boyfriend's not too thrilled about that idea but that's okay..

Interested in trying this out for yourself? You can check out my ombre DIY guide and head on over to the nearest Sally Beauty Supply to grab yourself some Manic Panic. I used Cotton Candy pink for the look above.

Here's some tips on tip-dyeing:
- Pour some dye onto a plastic bowl and use a haircolour brush to pack on the colour.
- Wrap the dip-dyed area with tinfoil and leave on for at least an hour for a vibrant result.
- Make sure the area you want to dip dye is a really light blonde.

Good luck and have fun!
