After coming home with a new pair, it's come to the point when my mother asked me last week, "Hindi ka na nagsawa?!" which in English means something like: "Do you not get tired [of buying new shoes]?" And of course my answer was, "But I can wear this new pair with absolutely everything!" --which was the truth, the new Zara stilletos were black leather ankle-strapped with a single toe strap. I could not have a more versatile sandal.
Anyway, as I'm sure many of you can attest to, gorgeous shoes need appropriate housing. So basically, I need shoe storage ideas. Here are some ideas I've gathered from a quick Google search:
Hmm, I'm thinking more vertical than horizontal storage.
Not liking the plastic look on this one.
Looks more retail shop-friendly than bedroom-friendly.
This is cute, but once again, it's horizontal storage..
Honestly thinking of just splurging on a unit like this one!
Looks like a store at this point! Need more space.
Boxes are such a hassle when you're in a rush.. even with photos.
If I only had a bigger closet to install such shelving units!
Cute, but there's no way this can hold more than ten pairs.
The glass shelving kinda scares me.
Under-bed storage is not an option; I need to see my shoes!
I can always resort to a plain ol' bookcase I guess.
I have yet to reach the 100-pair count, though at the moment I doubt I'll reach it anytime soon. I'm not much of a shoe hoarder, but then again check back with me in about a couple of years. But to be honest, I don't see the point in having 200+ pairs of shoes. I like to think of myself as a bit of a minimalist, sticking to buying shoes that I can wear with multiple outfits--and isn't it quality over quantity? But say that to my growing shoe closet. Ahh, the troubles of the fashion-obsessed.
Where do you keep your shoes? Leave me a comment, I'd love to hear some storage ideas!
