Lipstain Review: Stila Long Wear Liquid Lip Color in 03 Patina

If you're in the market for a long-lasting, full coverage, matte lipstain, you've come to the right place. My personal preference in lip makeup are lipstains, and Stila's Long Wear Liquid Lip Color is at the top of that list.

I came across this gorgeous lip colour while browsing one night at a Sephora store. I love deep wine shades and neutral nudes so I just had to try this one out.

And with one swipe, I fell in love. The consistency is more liquid than a sticky gloss, and it feels creamy on the lips upon application. The applicator glides on flawlessly, and if you're careful, you can create a precise edge to outline your lips--no lip liner necessary.

It's super pigmented, and my uneven natural lip colour is masked by this lipstain. They don't call it a lipstain, but I believe it should fall under that category since it stays on all day (and I mean, ALL DAY!). I put it on in the morning and by bedtime you still see colour; though of course you'd need to do the occassional touchup after a meal. It's a tad drying if your lips haven't been prepped before application so to combat that, I swipe on a thin layer of Carmex.

Look ma, no lip liner!

I'm not a big fan of lip gloss (something about the super shine freaks me out) so when I found out this lip colour has a matte finish, I was hooked. It's so easy to wear and goes with the colours in my wardrobe.

The gorgeously bold colour won't transfer, feather or bleed. I drink coffee and tea all day and I have yet to see a lip mark on my cup! The formula contains vitamin E and avocado oil which help lock in moisture and keep my pucker looking soft and hydrated.

Try it out yourself and let me know what you think! Check out the rest of the long-lasting shades at eBeauty.ca and Sephora ($29 CAD). x
